Fried chicken salad? It is one of the simplest menu items that lets you use golden chicken strips in a completely different format.

For the guest, it is a lighter alternative to a burger or a bucket. For the operator, it is a fast dish built around ingredients you already have in the kitchen.

A few simple presentation tricks can make this kind of salad look genuinely appetising:
• Use a tray instead of a plate – try serving the salad on a wooden tray lined with food paper. The dish immediately looks more natural and more Instagram-friendly.
• Use the sauce as a garnish – do not let the salad swim in dressing. Add it sparingly, in a thin drizzle or in a few accent points. It will enhance both the flavour and the visual appeal.
• Pay attention to details – fresh herbs, toasted sunflower seeds or a light dusting of seasoning can lift the entire dish.
• Build the salad in layers instead of laying it flat – give the greens some volume. This makes the dish look fresher, lighter and more generous.

Crispy fried chicken pieces create a great contrast with green leaves and fresh toppings. At the same time, they turn the salad into a proper lunch dish, not just a starter.

In soft serve operations, the number of flavours is rarely the factor that truly drives sales. The standard setup—two flavours plus a twist—is not due to equipment limitations, but rather the operational logic of this business.

First, service speed is critical. Soft serve is largely an impulse purchase: customers make decisions within seconds, often while standing in line or passing by. A simple offering speeds up choice and allows you to serve more customers during peak hours.

Second, consistency and workflow efficiency matter. A wider range of flavours means more ingredients, more frequent machine cleaning, and more complex operations. In practice, this can slow down service and increase costs.

Third, in soft serve, the key driver isn’t flavour variety but the quality of the base and toppings. It’s sauces, sprinkles, fruit, and presentation that create the perception of variety.

That’s why in many well-performing outlets, the 2 flavours + twist model proves to be the most efficient.

Saving a few cents per kilogram on your mix? That’s only a fraction of a cent per portion of ice cream. Meanwhile, investing in a better product allows you to increase your retail price by up to €0.25 per serving. And that makes a significant difference to your margin.

Why are customers willing to pay more for ice cream made with LYKKE mix? Because they’re getting a genuinely better product.
✅ Ice cream made with whole milk, not vegetable fats
✅ A rich, creamy texture derived from natural milk fat
✅ Flavour built on real Van Houten cocoa, not just artificial aroma
✅ Fruit variants based on natural juices, not candy-like flavouring
✅ A cleaner label with no glucose-fructose syrup

What does this mean in practice? The winner is the one who delivers the highest perceived value. You need to convince your customers they’re choosing something better—and our mixes give you the arguments to do exactly that.

This is what American bars taste like on a Friday night. 🇺🇸👌
Buffalo Wings can become a signature item for your venue—a dish that builds atmosphere and attracts guests with its unmistakable flavour. It’s also a strong way to stand out locally with something distinctive.

The classic serve? Golden, crispy wings coated in a buttery, spicy Buffalo sauce, served in a generous portion with blue cheese or ranch dip and fresh celery sticks. Using Holly Powder coated chicken, you can recreate this effect with full consistency. The crispy, craggy coating holds up well to the sauce, while the meat stays juicy inside.

Introducing kimchi to your menu is not just a culinary trend—it’s a strategic decision that can impact your food cost, menu positioning, and overall sales structure.

👇 Let’s break down the numbers and sales mechanics:

1️⃣ Low ingredient cost
Cabbage remains one of the most cost-effective vegetables.
Cost per portion? Minimal.
Upselling potential? Highly achievable.

2️⃣ High perceived value
“Cabbage slaw” sounds ordinary.
“Kimchi” sounds premium.
One word can transform the perception of an entire burger.

3️⃣ Ease of implementation
No need to redesign your menu.
The same chicken burger + kimchi instead of standard lettuce = a new, exciting menu item.

4️⃣ The “foodie” effect
Fermentation, authenticity, Asian-inspired flavours.
This is exactly what younger customers are looking for.
They want something that looks appealing, sounds intriguing, and comes with a story worth sharing.

Looking for a high-margin menu item with strong sales potential? You can achieve it by creatively leveraging ingredients you already have in your kitchen. 🍟✨

Loaded Fries are simply an upgraded version of classic fries. They require no changes in kitchen operations and no additional staff training. The only difference lies in presentation and how the item is positioned on your menu.

This gives you the opportunity to significantly increase your selling price with only a marginal rise in portion cost. In practice, this translates into one of the best-performing items on the menu—especially for takeaway and delivery.

See how perfectly they pair with Holly Powder coated chicken pieces!

Google’s recommendation system now genuinely determines the success of foodservice businesses. That’s because it’s relatively resistant to manipulation, which has earned it the trust of a large share of consumers. The good news? There are always ways to improve your rating. Nothing is lost!

🔦 Make it easy for guests to leave a review
A QR code on the table, a note with the bill, or a simple request from the waiter.
🔦 Ask your regular customers for reviews
They already recommend you—encourage them to do it online as well.
🔦 Analyze recurring complaints
Fix what needs improvement, and the next 10 reviews will already be better.
🔦 Respond like a restaurant, not a robot
Thank guests for praise. Respond to criticism with humility.

Above all, don’t be afraid of criticism—even if it feels unfair. A review isn’t a verdict, it’s a conversation with your customer.

A modern take on the classic affogato – LYKKE vanilla soft ice cream topped with hot espresso and a touch of gingerbread syrup. A surprising contrast of flavors: hot and cold, the bitterness of coffee balanced by the sweetness of syrup with an intense hint of warm spices. Coffee and dessert in one ☕🍦✨💕

💡 Add a shot of strong coffee and gingerbread or spiced syrup to a portion of creamy soft serve. Top with whipped cream and finish with a sprinkle of cocoa. Serve in a small cup or dessert glass. Voilà!

Why is it worth serving free water in a restaurant? 👇
⭐ Guests rate a venue more positively when they can quench their thirst right after being seated; it’s a small gesture that improves comfort and shortens the perceived waiting time for dishes.
🥂 Contrary to popular belief, free water does not compete with beverage sales, as it satisfies a basic need for hydration rather than the desire to choose a specific product—like a soft drink or wine.
💧 The cost of serving free tap water is minimal, and its quality can be easily controlled through filtration. In foodservice, water filtration has been a standard for years, especially wherever coffee and tea are served.

💡 What’s more, in venues using a post-mix dispenser, water becomes a natural part of the beverage system. The equipment serves both drinks and filtered, chilled water. Self-service can even be introduced. In this model, free water stops being a cost and becomes a consistent element of hospitality and responsible business practice.

What are your experiences? What still holds venues back from offering free water today?

When creamy soft serve meets a warm base, it creates a flavor experience people want to come back to. Think about how a warm, fragrant apple pie with a scoop of ice cream makes you feel 💕

Why does it work? Because heat brings out the aromas of pastry, butter, and fruit, while the cold ice cream balances both sweetness and temperature. The result is a fuller, more “homemade” taste—less one-dimensional.

How can you apply the hot-and-cold combo in venues serving soft ice cream?

🥐 Croissant + soft serve
A lightly warmed croissant, sliced open and filled with a portion of vanilla or dairy soft serve. Simple, filling, and very Instagram-friendly.
🥯 Italian-style brioche + ice cream
A warm, buttery brioche bun (inspired by Sicily) filled with a swirl of soft serve. A well-known dessert in Italy, still rare in many markets.
🧇 Waffle + soft serve
A classic making a comeback in a new form: less whipped cream, more ice cream. A warm waffle as the base, with ice cream as the star.
🍓 Soft serve with warm raspberries
Heated raspberries (fresh or frozen), with minimal added sugar, served over cold ice cream. A very nostalgic combination.
🍨 Ice cream + warm fruit or chocolate sauce
Not syrup from a bottle, but a sauce gently heated until it releases the aroma of fruit or cocoa. A small change that makes a big difference.

The hot-and-cold trend doesn’t require new equipment or complex recipes. The simpler and more natural, the better. This is exactly the direction ice cream shops are heading in 2026.
