A good machine matters. But what happens when something goes wrong?

For Tomasz Malinowski, a manufacturer of central heating boilers at Tomiko, service support was one of the key reasons for choosing Otinus.

His company has been using an Otinus laser cutting machine and CNC press brake for a year.

Before making the decision, Tomasz visited our showroom in Bydgoszcz, tested the machine, and spoke with another business owner who had already chosen Otinus.

When the cooling pump in the laser cutter failed, our service team was at the customer’s facility the very next day.

In demanding production environments, a press brake must combine precision, efficiency, and the flexibility to configure the machine for specific processes.

That’s exactly what the Otinus PRO series was designed for.

These hydraulic press brakes offer:

Another installation completed. This time, we’re staying right here in Bydgoszcz! ✅

We have commissioned an Otinus laser cutting machine for tubes and profiles at our customer’s facility, featuring a 6000 × 230 mm working area and a 3 kW laser source.

This machine is designed for production environments where traditional cutting, drilling, and profile preparation across multiple workstations can be replaced by one precise laser cutting process.

The new machine will allow our customer to:
🔵 process tubes and profiles up to 6 meters long,
🔵 perform cutting and hole-making in a single process,
🔵 improve part repeatability,
🔵 reduce the number of additional operations,
🔵 prepare components more efficiently for the next stages of production.

The machine has been installed and is ready to support our customer’s day-to-day production.

Is a 100-ton press brake enough for your production?

The answer is: it depends. Here’s what it depends on:

Choosing the wrong press brake tonnage can lead to two costly scenarios:

❌ a machine that is too weak – risk of overload, faster tool wear, repeatability issues, and even damage to the press,
❌ a machine that is too large – unnecessarily higher investment costs, greater energy consumption, and capabilities that exceed the real needs of your facility.

Other important factors include:

🔹 material grade and tensile strength,
🔹 bending length,
🔹 die opening width,
🔹 bending method,
🔹 required bend radius and part geometry,
🔹 permissible load of the tooling and press beam.

What’s more, simply changing the die can significantly reduce the required bending force – but at the same time it can change the bend radius, minimum fl**ge length, and flat pattern of the part.
