📌 Why Footings are Wider than Columns?

🏗️ In RCC structures, columns carry the load of beams, slabs, and walls.
⬇️ This load is transferred downward to the footing.
📉 If the footing were the same size as the column, the heavy load would create excessive pressure on the soil.
🌍 To prevent soil failure and safely spread the load, footings are made wider than columns.
✅ Wider footings = better load distribution, stability, and safety.

A)For Site Engineers:

1. Reading and Interpreting Drawings:
Understand structural, architectural, and service drawings.

2. Site Supervision:
Monitor daily activities, manpower, and resource usage.
Ensure safety and quality standards on-site.
3. Construction Methods and Materials:
Knowledge of modern construction techniques.
Familiarity with materials like concrete, steel, bricks, etc.
4. Work Scheduling:
Prepare and follow work schedules.
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
5. Leveling and Surveying:
Use of instruments like auto level, total station.
Checking layout, alignments, and levels.
6. Concrete Works:
Checking formwork, reinforcement, concrete mix, and curing.
Monitoring casting and post-casting procedures.
7. Progress Reporting:
Maintain daily progress reports (DPR).
Communicate effectively with the project manager.
8. Coordination:

B)For Quality Engineers:
