Project Reference:

During 2017 PATSA had the honor of completing the Lucky One Mall project in Karachi. The surface was thoroughly sanded down, any imperfections were smoothed out, joints and dents were levelled with polycate , rust or mil scale was brushed using a wire brush, the resulting debris and any other contaminants were cleaned.

After the surface preparation stage, Jotun's Jotamastic 80 was applied as a surface Primer and a mid coat. Jotamastic 80 is a two component polyamine cured epoxy mastic coating. It is a surface torrent, high solids product. Specifically designed for areas where optimum surface preparation is not possible or required. Can be used as a primer, mid coat, finish coat or as a single coat system in atmospheric environments

Jotun's Hardtop XP was applied as a top coat finish. Hardtop XP is a two component chemically curing aliphatic polyurethane coating. It has a glossy finish with good glass retention. It is used as a topcoat in atmospheric environments.

PATSA was awarded a waterproofing project for the roof and wet areas of Jinnah Hospital Karachi . The Aquafin Pakistan (PVT.) LTD. products used were:

- AQUAFIN®-TC07 (2-comp polymer-modified waterproofing coating).
- AQUAFIN®-2C (2-comp polymer-modified flexible waterproofing
coating).
- INDUGROUT-GP (general purpose, non-shrink cementitious grout).

The surface was completely power ground to expose minor pores for the adhesion of the succeeding products to be applied. If found minor/major cracks, cavities, pipe penetrations, cores & exposed reinforcement will be repaired using INDUGROUT-GP. Once the substrate is readied, both AQUAFIN®-TC07 & AQUAFIN®-2C will be applied to the rooftop slab. The total roof area was 38,150 SFT.

PATENA is a durable, alkyd-based, rich and high gloss/matt finish enamel which combines excellent opacity and light fastness, with resistance to chalking and early yellowing. Specially designed to withstand corrosive marine and industrial environments.
