Green Diamond Private Limited, under the Climate Smart Business Challenge Initiative (CSBCI) in collaboration with Get Green Tech, is proud to see the Solar Mobile Pump making a meaningful impact in Shonus, Ishkoman (Ghazir District), enhancing climate resilience in the region.

The Initiative (CSBCI) is a pilot project implemented by Aga Khan Foundation. It is supported by the IKI Small Grants program strengthening local solutions for effective climate and biodiversity action. IKI Small Grants is part of Germany’s International Climate Initiative (IKI). It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the Federal Foreign Office (AA) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) and carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ,German International Cooperation GmbH.

🚰🌿 Success Story from Gahkuch Bala – A Testament to Sustainable Innovation! 🌿🚰

In 2018, Green Diamond Private Limited, in collaboration with Get Green Tech, installed a hydraulic RAM pump in Gahkuch Bala, Gilgit-Baltistan. Today, more than 7 years later, the pump is still running — without electricity or fuel — delivering a powerful example of zero-carbon, low-cost irrigation.

⚙️ The RAM Pump:
Operating 24/7 since 2018, the pump has uplifted approximately 7.36 million liters of water (at 20 liters per minute), irrigating over 50 kanal of steep, barren land.

🌾 Impact on the Ground:
Thanks to this water access, Mr. Raja Aziz Khan has transformed his land into a green oasis, cultivating:

✅ Alfalfa (shared with neighbors to create a communal fence)
✅ Thousands of trees: Poplar, Willow, Acacia, Seabuckthorn, Russian Olives, Walnut
✅ A sustainable model of mixed agroforestry and fodder cultivation

All farming and livestock management is skillfully led by Madam Quwat Bibi, demonstrating the vital role of women in climate-smart agriculture.

Green Diamond Private Limited and Get Green are excited to share another step forward in climate resilience — the Mobile Solar Pump is now ready for delivery to the community at Gahkuch Ghazir!

🔹 Background:
Under the Climate-Smart Business Challenge Initiative LLC, and with the valuable support of GIZ and AKF, Green Diamond developed the Mobile Solar Pump in response to the pressing irrigation challenges faced by remote communities. This innovative solution harnesses clean, renewable solar energy to power water pumps — reducing reliance on diesel and significantly improving agricultural productivity.

Successfully introduced Mobile Solar Pumps in underserved regions

Improved water access for smallholder farmers
