| From the Gospel according to Matthew 18:15-20

Jesus said to his disciples: "If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have won over your brother. If he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, so that 'every fact may be established on the testimony of two or three witnesses.' If he refuses to listen to them, tell the church.

If he refuses to listen even to the church, then treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector. Amen, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Again, amen, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

| 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁

The final day of ASCENSUS took place on September 5, 2026, as our first-year Civil Engineering students completed the last part of the readiness assessment.

While the freshies took on the questions, our ACES officers worked behind the scenes, checking and reviewing their answer sheets to make sure every paper was properly accounted for.

From the first assessment day to the last paper checked, ASCENSUS has officially come to an end. It was a few Saturdays of answering, checking, and getting our freshies a little more prepared for what Civil Engineering has in store.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and to our officers who helped make each assessment day happen!

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭, 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭

A night of excitement, laughter, and new memories marked a bright beginning for our Civil Engineering freshmen as they joined Freshmen Night 2026 on September 4 at the James Ter Meer Gymnasium, USLT Main Campus, carrying the theme “KISLAP: Nagniningning na Simula sa mga Bagong Luwisyano.”

Together with fellow freshmen, our CE students celebrated new beginnings, built friendships, and embraced the spirit of KISLAP as they took their first steps into their Louisian journey.

Here’s to the bonds built and the bright journey ahead for our future civil engineers!

| ACES Lands a Podium Finish at the 2026 Advocacy Fair

The Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) proudly earns the title of 2nd Runner-up for Most Outstanding Organizational Booth of the Year at the 2026 Advocacy Fair, held on August 11, 2026, under the theme “Biyaheng Luwisyano: Lakbay ng Adbokasiya Tungo sa Pagkakaisa at Paglilingkod.”

A recognition of the hard work, time, and effort that everyone poured into making our booth happen. From the late preparations to the little details, every contribution mattered and helped bring our booth to life.

We’re grateful for everyone who helped, supported, and showed up for ACES throughout the fair.

Behind every recognition is a story beyond the certificate-late nights, demanding deadlines, difficult lessons, and countless moments of choosing to keep going.

Today, USLT-ACES proudly recognizes our awardees whose dedication and perseverance brought them to this moment. Sa araw na ito, inaalala natin ang mga Pilipinong nagsakripisyo para sa kalayaan, dangal, at kinabukasan ng ating bayan. Pinili nilang tumindig sa panahon ng takot, lumaban sa panahon ng pang-aapi, at maniwala sa isang Pilipinas na hindi pa nila nakikita ngunit ipinaglaban nila para sa atin.

Sa paggunita sa Pambansang Araw ng mga Bayani, alalahanin natin na ang bayan ay Pilipinong patuloy na nangangarap, nagsisikap, at naglilingkod sa kasalukuyan.

| 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗨𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗛𝗶𝗺.

In today's Gospel, 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘄 𝟭𝟲:𝟮𝟭-𝟮𝟳, Jesus reminds His disciples that following Him is not always the easiest path. He calls us to deny ourselves, take up our crosses, and follow Him. It is a reminder that faith is not about having a life without struggles, but about choosing to keep going and trusting God even when the road gets difficult.

As we reflect on today’s Gospel, one of our fellow students shares how this message speaks to their journey of faith and trust in God.
