Alright! Our client is back for another major upgrade!

Replacing the factory suspension with an ARB Old Man Emu (OME) Nitrocharger Sport Suspension System, giving a 50mm (2-inch) lift and improved ride quality both on and off the road.

And to ensure proper suspension geometry, handling, and durability, we’re also installing:

✅ ARB Upper Control Arms (UCA)
✅ Front Sway Bar Upgrade
✅ Rear Panhard Correction Kit

Usapang UCA (Upper control arms) naman tayo mga bossing, why do we need to upgrade our upper control arms pag nag lift tayo ng sasakyan?

What are the reasons and perks?

So when a vehicle is lifted, the suspension geometry changes. Yung stock upper control arms natin are designed to operate within the factory ride height, then when you do a suspension lift the vehicle can push them beyond their optimal working angles or articulations.

Eto yun mga dapat natin malaman guys!

Upgrading the upper control arms helps:

• Correct alignment geometry – A lift can affect caster and camber angles, making it difficult to achieve proper alignment. Aftermarket UCAs are designed to restore these alignment settings.

• Increase suspension travel – Upgraded UCAs provide greater articulation, allowing the suspension to move more freely without binding.

• Prevent ball joint wear – Lifting changes the operating angle of the ball joints, which can cause excessive stress and premature wear. Aftermarket UCAs are built to handle these increased angles.

• Improve handling and stability – Proper caster and suspension geometry result in better steering feel, straight-line stability, and overall driving confidence.

• Provide additional tire clearance – Many aftermarket UCAs offer more clearance for larger tires, reducing the chances of rubbing during turns or suspension movement.

So in short, a lift changes the suspension geometry, and upgraded upper control arms help restore proper alignment, improve suspension performance, and increase component longevity.

Why should we upgrade our leaf springs instead of adding an extra leaf when our pickup carries a constant load?

Adding a leaf and upgrading the entire leaf spring pack may seem similar, but they affect your pickup differently.

Adding an extra leaf is usually the cheaper option and is often done when carrying moderate constant loads.

Pros:

* Very slight increase on load-carrying capacity.
* Reduces rear end sag and droop.
* More affordable.

Cons:

* Makes the ride significantly stiffer, even when unloaded.
* Places additional stress on the original spring pack, bushings, shackles, and mounts.
* Doesn’t improve the overall spring design or fatigue resistance of the old leaf pack.
* Can cause uneven load distribution within the spring pack.

Upgrading the Leaf Spring Pack

A complete upgraded leaf pack is designed from the ground up for a specific constant load (e.g., 200 kg, 300 kg, 500 kg).

Pros:

* Better ride quality under load.
* Improved suspension travel and articulation.
* More durable for long-term constant weight.
* Better load distribution across all leaves.
* Reduces the chance of spring fatigue, sagging, or broken leaves.

Cons:

* More expensive. -yun lang 😅

If your pickup permanently carries:
* 100–200 kg: An add-a-leaf may be sufficient.
* 200–500+ kg constantly: A properly rated upgraded leaf spring pack is usually the better solution.

Ganito lang yan, adding a leaf is like reinforcing an existing bridge, while upgrading the spring pack is like building a stronger bridge, ano mas pipiliin mo? Band aid solution? Siyempre hindi, kasi it’s designed for the heavier load from the start.

So for overlanding, service vehicles, campers, drawer systems, rooftop tents, and other setups na mag stay sa vehicle all the time yun mods, we strongly suggest a complete leaf spring upgrade, it generally provides better comfort, handling, and longevity than simply adding another leaf.

Presenting the complete transformation of this Toyota Hilux GRS, from a rough looking build loaded with heavy components to a sleek, functional, and purpose-built overland rig.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our clients get exactly what they envisioned and more.

This build underwent a major weight reduction and functionality upgrade. We replaced the bulky steel bumpers with lightweight yet incredibly strong RIVAL 4x4 aluminum front and rear bumpers, paired with a full RIVAL underbody protection system that even extends coverage to the lower control arms for maximum off-road protection.

The heavy steel canopy was swapped out for an Alu-Cab canopy, significantly reducing weight while providing a corrosion resistant solution built to withstand years of adventure. On top, we installed the Alu-Cab LT-50 Weekender Rooftop Tent, one of the lightest and slimmest RTTs available today, perfectly complemented by the Alu-Cab 270° freestanding awning, ready for any weather condition, rain or shine.

Functionality was a key priority throughout the build. Every available space was optimized for practical use, including the addition of a SmartCap drop down table that provides a convenient workspace without sacrificing valuable storage space. We also integrated a 45 liter mid bed water tank along with a rear water outlet beneath the bumper for quick and easy access during camping and overlanding trips.

To further enhance reliability and usability, we fitted RAID mud flaps with heavy duty brackets, ensuring protection and durability on and off the trail.

Since our clients are a couple who work remotely, we also installed a Starlink system, allowing them to stay connected wherever their adventures take them.

Now fully equipped with the right gear, smart storage solutions, reliable connectivity, and premium overlanding essentials, this Hilux GRS is finally ready to explore farther, stay longer, and travel in comfort whether it's a weekend getaway or a cross country expedition.
