Last November 24, 2025, UP Diliman, through the Office of the Chancellor, and with the participation of the UPD College of Engineering (COE) and the UP Building Research Service (BRS), welcomed Prof. Xavier Ferre, Director for Asia and the Pacific of the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, for an institutional visit following the recently signed MOU for International Cooperation between the universities and Acciona.

The visit included discussions on potential collaborations including joint teaching initiatives and research projects, exchange programs and other academic pursuits in the field of engineering, architecture, urban planning and sports science. These discussions will guide the next steps in implementing the initiatives outlined in the MOU.
