One of the key considerations a lighting designer should do on a project is to procure the owner’s project requirements or basis of design that typically on the following: Illumination levels, desired light source, color temperature, color rendering index. The lighting designers work with architects and owners to determine the luminaire type and style. Not to forget the lighting construction budget, commissioning, operations and maintenance requirements.

First importance is security - high traffic areas such as immigration counters need an engineered lighting to ensure flawless operation.
Second, an intended lighting gives emphasis to the goal of the interior designer, like painting color to an artwork.
Third, it is an instrument of stewardship, through lighting design, we are giving value to the people who will use it, such as our beloved kababayans and OFW's.
