The CPSP-CATS Committee of Electrical Engineering
successfully held its 2nd Committee Meeting on 22 May 2026
at the IIEE National Office in Cubao, Quezon City.
Representatives from the Professional Regulatory Board of
Electrical Engineering, the CPSP-CATS Committee, IIEE, and the
PQF/CPSP-CATS Secretariat convened to discuss key initiatives
supporting the implementation of the Career Progression and
Specialization Program (CPSP) and Credit Accumulation and
Transfer System (CATS) for the Electrical Engineering
profession.
Among the major agenda items were the development of
accreditation guidelines for specialty organizations, the
establishment of Technical Working Groups (TWGs) for
approved Professional Qualification Title (PQT) specializations,
the formulation of structured training and assessment
mechanisms, and the proposed grandfather clause for
experienced practitioners.
These efforts reflect the
Committeeโs commitment to advancing professional
excellence, lifelong learning, and career progression for
Filipino electrical engineers in alignment with the Philippine
Qualifications Framework (PQF).
