Our team promptly conducted a surface-level structural inspection of the property to urgently assess its current condition. This initial assessment aimed to determine the actual situation on-site, with a more detailed inspection and corresponding technical solutions to follow.

Initial findings are promising—indicating that with proper rectification measures, the building can be restored to full safety and functionality.

🚧 BULACAN WAREHOUSE COLLAPSE: THE COST OF UNSAFE SCAFFOLDING 🚨

Two workers died and five were injured when a warehouse under construction in Bustos, Bulacan collapsed last July 4. 💔

Initial findings point to a failure in scaffolding support during concrete pouring on the second floor slab raising serious concerns about inadequate scaffolding design and load-bearing capacity.

🛠️ Scaffolding is not just temporary support it’s a critical part of structural stability during construction.
Improper welding, undersized materials, or lack of structural assessment can lead to disaster.

As structural consultants, we cannot stress this enough:
✅ Scaffolding must be designed, reviewed, and inspected by qualified engineers.
✅ Temporary works deserve the same level of attention as permanent structures.

🟥 WRONG WAY (Top Image): Excavating beyond the soil’s safe support zone—typically represented by a angle from the base of the structure—can cause dangerous soil collapse or foundation settlement.

🟩 RIGHT WAY (Bottom Image): Staying within the soil's natural angle of repose or engineering the excavation properly ensures safety for both new and existing structures.

⚠️ Disclaimer:
The angle shown is a rule of thumb and not applicable to all soil types. Soft clay, loose sand, and saturated ground may fail at shallower angles. Engineering judgment and soil testing are essential.
