Big boost for Filipino filmmakers this 2026.
CMB Film Services has renewed its partnership with the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, and they're going bigger this time.
The company is raising its equipment rental grants to P1.25 million per project, up by P250,000 from last year.
That means more access to industry-standard cameras, lenses, lighting, and production gear for filmmakers in the full-length category. Participants will also work closely with CMB and festival officials to match each project with the right equipment
-basically giving their films the technical muscle to match their creative vision.
For CMB president Jim Baltazar, the festival has already proven its impact. He described CinePanalo as a "major catalyst" in producing globally competitive Filipino films, adding that the goal is to keep raising the bar for both local and international audiences.
Festival chair Ivy Hayagan-Piedad echoed the same energy, saying the 2026 edition is shaping up to be the biggest yet.
With higher production and rental grants plus full creative freedom, she called it a "landmark occasion" for Philippine cinema.
The 2026 full-length lineup includes:
• "Wantawsan" by Joseph Abello
• "Mono No Aware" by BC Amparado
• "Apol of my Ai" by Thop Nazareno
• "Patay Gutom (Dead Hungry)" by Carl Papa and lan Pangilinan
• "Beast" by Lawrence Fajardo
• "Stuck on You" by Mikko Baldoza
• "Multwoh (Patay na Patay Sa'yo)" by Rodina Singh
The films are set to screen in September at Gateway Cineplex 18 and select Ayala Cinemas in 2026.
