Automation Technician
About the role
Join Global Maintenance & Automation Corp. as an Automation Technician based in Pasig City, Metro Manila. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of automated systems and equipment across our diverse range of industrial clients.
What you'll be doing
1. Install, configure and test automated control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other industrial control components
2. Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical, electronic, and mechanical components of automation systems
4. Collaborate with engineers, operators and other technicians to identify and implement process improvements
5. Maintain detailed documentation of all automation-related work
6. Provide on-site training and support to client personnel on the operation and maintenance of automated systems.
What we're looking for
1. Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Automation Engineering or a related technical field
2. Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automation Engineer/Technician or similar role in an industrial manufacturing environment
3. Experience must be specifically gained within process industries including wire and cable, steel, printing, or similar manufacturing environments
4. Strong working knowledge of PLC programming, HMI configuration, and industrial network communication protocols
5. Hands-on experience with multiple major PLC brands including Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, or Mitsubishi platforms.
6. Hands-on experience with installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of automated equipment and systems
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve system issues
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
9. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, manuals, and other technical documentation
