Consolidation Test for National Irrigation Administration (NIA) – Cotabato Irrigation Project

The National Irrigation Administration's (NIA) Cotabato projects, particularly the Malitubog-Maridagao Irrigation Project - Stage II (MMIP-II), aim to enhance agricultural productivity, improve livelihoods, and contribute to peace and order in the region. The MMIP-II irrigates 9,528 hectares of farmland, benefiting approximately 4,000 farmers in Cotabato and Maguindanao.

What is Consolidation Test?

A consolidation test, also known as an oedometer test, evaluates how soil compresses when saturated and subjected to a load. It determines the rate and extent of soil settlement due to water drainage under pressure, helping engineers predict ground movement and structural settlement.
