ZAMECO I would like to inform the public of the approved power rates for the January 2026 billing period.

Residential:
₱8.4492 / kWh → ₱7.2810 / kWh
(Decrease of ₱1.1682 / kWh)

Low Voltage:
₱7.5594 / kWh → ₱6.3902 / kWh
(Decrease of ₱1.1692 / kWh)

High Voltage:
₱5.8510 / kWh → ₱4.9262 / kWh
(Decrease of ₱0.9248 / kWh)

The overall decrease in power rates is mainly due to lower Generation, Transmission, and System Loss Charges, despite the implementation of the Green Energy Auction Allowance (GEA-All) and RECs Rate (Renewable Energy Certificate Rate)
What is GEA-All?
The GEA-All is a government-approved charge designed to support renewable energy projects under the Green Energy Auction Program.
Key reminders:
✔ The GEA-All rate is approved by the ERC
✔ ZAMECO I acts solely as a collecting agent
✔ All GEA-All collections are remitted directly to TransCo

Please note that the Generation Charge and GEA-All are pass-through charges. ZAMECO I only collects these amounts and remits them directly to power suppliers and the government.

What is RECs Rate (Renewable Energy Certificate Rate)?
It is the recovery of Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) costs through the REC Rate, in compliance with the Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS), as authorized by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) under Resolution No. 12, Series of 2024.

✔ The RECs Rate is a pass-through charge
✔ Electric cooperatives do not control or profit from the rate
✔ It supports the country’s clean and renewable energy goals

Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) are encouraged to continue practicing energy-saving measures to help manage electricity consumption and reduce monthly bills.

Affected areas: From Balogo Inhobol, Masinloc to Brgy. Alwa, Palauig including Bulawen
-Whole Palauig except Liozon, Locloc, Macararang and Bato
-Parts of Masinloc (San Lorenzo, Sto. Rosario, Bamban, Inhobol)
Reason: To facilitate repair of Salaza power transformer
