✨ A memorable first at CMU for Komatsu President and Japanese Executives! 🌿🇯🇵🇵🇭

On March 19, 2026, KOMATSU had the incredible opportunity to experience the CMU TOUR, an inspiring journey through one of the country’s premier institutions for agricultural research, biodiversity, and innovation. 🌱🏫

Making the visit even more special, this marked the first time that Komatsu President Mr. Tatsuya Sato visited Central Mindanao University, together with distinguished Japanese Komatsu executives including Komatsu Academy Japan Training Program Coordinator Ms. Miho Shinozaki, Deputy Manager Mr. Motohiro Yano, Senior Supervisor Ms. Murell Kumano, and Technical Trainor Engr. Emmanuel Garcia, alongside the rest of the KPC team and honored guests. ✨

One of the highlights of the tour was the breathtaking University Fernery proudly known as the only fernery in the country dedicated to botanical research and conservation. 🍃

The visit offered a unique and immersive learning experience showcasing the beauty of nature, environmental preservation, and CMU’s commitment to academic excellence.
From exploring world-class facilities to appreciating the rich biodiversity within the campus, the experience was both educational and unforgettable for everyone involved. 💚

Earlier today, May 19, 2026, the College of Engineering of Central Mindanao University warmly welcomed the distinguished guests from Komatsu Philippines Corporation (KPC) for the KPC “School Orientation” with our Faculty and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering graduating students.

Prior to the orientation, the KPC delegation paid a courtesy call to the Office of the President, represented by Dr. Jose S. Valmorida (Vice President for Academic Affairs) strengthening the partnership and shared commitment toward academic excellence, industry collaboration, and global opportunities for CMU students.

We were truly honored by the presence of Komatsu President Mr. Tatsuya Sato, Komatsu Academy Japan Training Program Coordinator Ms. Miho Shinozaki, Senior Supervisor Ms. Murell Kumano, Technical Trainor Engr. Emmanuel Garcia.

The visit was more than just an orientation, it was an inspiring opportunity for our future engineers to connect with global industry leaders, learn about real-world engineering excellence, and explore exciting career opportunities through the Recruitment Orientation for the 19th Batch Trainees.

This event truly empowered our students to dream bigger, aim higher, and prepare themselves to become globally competitive engineers who will shape the future of innovation and industry.
