Every year, the 𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗥𝗔𝗘 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗖𝗥𝗖) travels across different countries, gathering student leaders and industry professionals coming from different international regions across Asia. This year, it was the turn of ASHRAE Philippine Chapter to host the 𝟮𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗥𝗖
and unite the HVAC&R Community.
The two-day conference—held in De La Salle University (DLSU)-Laguna, and Newport World Resorts—featured a series of talks on green and sustainable building solutions given by 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵. 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼 "𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗱𝘆" 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮, and the future of the HVAC&R amidst the evolving challenges of Climate Change given by 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗷𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼. There were also competitions alongside inspirational talks from the Societal ASHRAE President, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼, that gave the next generation of engineers the chance to showcase their leadership, competence, and build stronger connections.
Representing the University of Santo Tomas (UST), 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗟𝘆𝗸𝗮 𝗞𝗿𝘆𝘇𝗷𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗻, ASHRAE-UST Former President, showcased their internationally-recognized Thesis funded by the ASHRAE Research Grant Program. The current President, 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗰, delivered the closing remarks of the conference, officially passing the torch to Thailand, the next year's CRC host.
On behalf of ASHRAE-UST Student Branch, we extend our gratitude to the ASHRAE Philippines Chapter, DLSU-Manila Student Branch, and to the dedicated volunteers who made these opportunities possible. We are ever grateful for the organizers, mentors, and especially the global delegates for an unforgettable CRC experience. Hanggang sa muli, ASHRAE!
