CCLEX to implement full adjustment on October 1
PUVs and small motorcycles with RFID temporarily exempted
The full toll rate adjustment for the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) will take effect starting October 1, 2025, as approved by the Local Toll Regulatory Council (LTRC).
The LTRC is responsible for setting and implementing toll rates for the expressway. Although the full toll rate was previously approved, only a partial adjustment was initially made by the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) to help ease the impact on motorists.
Once this full toll rate adjustment is implemented, motorists will pay P68 for Class 1M (motorcycles 110cc to 399cc), P107 for Class 1 (motorcycles 400cc and up; cars, jeeps, pickups, and small vans), P214 for Class 2 (light trucks, buses, and high-roof vans), and P321 for Class 3 (heavy trucks, multi-axles trucks, and trailers).
In an effort to ease the financial burden on daily commuters and small motorcycle owners, the toll rate adjustment for Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) and Class 1M motorcycles with RFID will be temporarily waived for a period of three months.
During this period, Class 1M RFID users will continue to pay the current toll rate of P65 while PUV operators with RFID will maintain the existing rate of a P200.
The increase is part of the staggered toll adjustments implemented every two years, as stipulated in the Concession Agreement between the Cebu City Government, the Cordova Municipal Government, and the CCLEC.
The adjustment will ensure that CCLEX continues to operate and be maintained to a high standard as a vital mobility infrastructure. It also supports the maintenance of toll facilities and services for the benefit of motorists..
With CCLEX, motorists experience significantly reduced travel times between Cebu City and Mactan Islandβup to 75% shorter than alternative routes. This leads to measurable savings in fuel and vehicle maintenance costs, as well as enhanced overall travel convenience.
CCLEC is also actively pursuing expansion projects to connect CCLEX with downtown Cebu City and Mactan-Cebu International Airport, further enhancing regional connectivity.Since its opening in April 2022, CCLEX has played a critical role in boosting accessibility in Mactan Island and supporting economic and tourism recovery in the region.
