More than the world-famous tower that bears his own name, Eiffel also had some notable projects that include his mastery as a civil engineer pioneering in metallic structures, such as the Iron Palace in Orizaba City, Mexico, and the internal framework of the Statue of Liberty in New York City. 🛠️

ESCA, Inc. proudly takes part in the Armed Forces of the Philiipines (AFP) - 7th Financial and Logistics Seminar-Workshop with the theme “Detailed Architectural and Engineering Design,” held October 20, 2025 at Dimalupig Hall B, AFPCOC, CGEA, Quezon City.

Our founder, Dr. Ernesto de Castro, shared his expertise on Managing Project Information Across the Full Project Cycle, emphasizing the importance of understanding project delivery information requirements and applying best practices in Building Information Management (BIM). Recognized as the “Mr. BIM of the Philippines,” Dr. de Castro continues to champion innovation, efficiency, and digital transformation within the construction industry.

Ar. Armando Alli, also delivered an insightful discussion on Detailed Architectural and Engineering Design (DAED), covering its core processes and the Professional Responsibilities of DAED. His talk underscored how DAED reinforces professional integrity, coordination, and design precision — values that strongly align with the workshop’s theme.

In today’s evolving engineering and construction landscape, both topics play a vital role. BIM enables teams to work smarter and more collaboratively by streamlining project data across disciplines, reducing errors, and driving productivity. Meanwhile, DAED ensures that every concept is translated into accurate, buildable, and sustainable design outcomes.

Our Story

Founded by Ernesto S. de Castro, Ph.D. in 1982, ESCA offers structural design, civil engineering, and project and construction management services. In over thirty years of operation, we have cultivated and applied our expertise in commercial, industrial, institutional and residential projects of varying scale and complexity, both local and international. Our portfolio includes several of the country’s most recognizable landmarks, which were undertaken with our clientele consisting of various prominent businesses here and abroad. We have about 80 full-time technical professionals schooled in diverse disciplines, complemented by more than 30 consultants ready to contribute to our endeavors. The engineers are proficient in cutting-edge design software, including applications developed in-house and third-party programs such as ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000, MATHCAD, Autodesk Building Design Suite, Autodesk Infrastracture Design Suite, Autodesk Civil 3D and full versions of Autodesk AutoCAD software. Our Quezon City headquarters is equipped with Windows and Linux servers, where all computers are connected via LAN. Wireless Internet access is available on the premises, with a DSL backup. This infrastructure allows us to provide engineering support services to overseas customers. Using these resources, we consistently and faithfully work for the efficient completion of each project and the protection of the interest of all stakeholders.
