PATRIOT Defense and Technologies Program,

Calriger Industries , XADO Philippines and JET Panes Trading and the Veteran Military Strategists PH recently sponsored a high-level Think Tank gathering held in two phases: first at SALUDO, Camp Aguinaldo, and second at Temple Drive. The event brought together key industry players, experts, and military advisors to chart the future of locally developed defense systems.



🎯 EVENT OBJECTIVES

Part 1, held at Camp Aguinaldo, focused on the modernization of the CALRIGER Ravenwolf Thermal Scanner and the integration of these optics into various military assets through JET Technologies.

Part 2, conducted at Temple Drive, explored how foreign defense technologies and Tatak Pinoy, Gawang Pilipino innovations can complement one another to build a stronger, self-reliant Philippine defense industrial base.

🛡️ Calriger Defense Capco Technologies

A local defense technology firm based in Pateros, Metro Manila, led by scientist and inventor Giancarlo “GCaps” Capco. Its core mission is to deliver Tatak Pinoy / Gawang Pilipino indigenous defense and security solutions.

- Key Products: CALRIGER Ravenwolf Thermal Scanner, SolarRev UGV/ROVER, portable solar power stations, tactical optics, night-vision systems, and cybersecurity platforms.
- Focus: Develops modular, rugged, and low-maintenance equipment suitable for the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and disaster response units — advancing the goal of national self-reliance.

🔹 Who is Giancarlo Capco?
Giancarlo Capco is a distinguished military defense technologist and scientist with deep roots in defense capability building in the field of AppliedScience. Since 2013, he has served as a Defense Technology Developer and Strategic Skills Development Instructor for the Armed Forces of the Philippines, where he trains personnel in modern technology applications, advancing and transforming system management, CRSAFP Cyber Defense DND Program and tactical innovations.

Beyond his work in the field, he earned recognition globally as the Official Representative of the Philippines at the Harvard Business School under the Build It Program. His success there allowed him to gain advanced knowledge in technology management and innovation, which he has since brought back and applied to local research and development. He is also the founder of the Calriger Academy 4DST, dedicated to advancing applied science and defense technology in the country.

🔹 Ricesy Ranile Lady Calriger
Born in Masbate, she serves as Pateros Scientist for Applied Science at the Major Jose Capco Sr. Defense and Technologies Research Center, and is also an Innovation Strategist and Technologist of Calriger Industries. Her expertise covers applied defense science, laser optics, dry fire system simulation, and training system design.

She is one of the lead scientists behind the development of the CALRIGER WolfSog Laser Technology Dry Firing System. During the Think Tank meeting, she formally presented and proposed that this system be adopted as a standard component in Military, Police, and Civilian Defense marksmanship and gun handling training programs, citing its safety, cost-effectiveness, and ability to build proper muscle memory and discipline without live ammunition.



🤝 J.E.T. Panes Trading Advanced Defense Technologies

A registered defense contractor and supply/ integration firm headed by Jet Panes.

Role: Acts as a vital link between local manufacturers like Calriger and military end-users; imports, integrates, and distributes tactical gear, optics, communication systems, and logistical support equipment.

- Contribution: Creates structured platforms where veteran strategists can advise, test, and validate local technologies, while strengthening the supply chain and maintenance support for the growing indigenous defense industry.

🔧 Charles Egon De Castro | XADO Philippines

Serves as the Head and National Representative of XADO Philippines, a subsidiary of the Ukraine-based XADO Chemical Group.

- Expertise: Specializes in nanotechnology lubricants, ceramic-metal restoration, and friction management solutions.
- Defense Application: XADO’s advanced ceramic oil formulations protect and restore engines, weapons, and mechanical systems — extending service life, reducing maintenance costs, and ensuring reliable performance under extreme conditions.
- Role: Provides logistical efficiency solutions that complement indigenous hardware and support the sustainability of defense assets.



🎖️ Brig. Gen. Rolando Jungco (Ret.), PAF

A highly respected veteran military strategist and retired officer of the Philippine Air Force. A member of PMA Class 1982, he has accumulated 38 years of service in the AFP and an additional 5 years in the Department of National Defense (DND).

- Key Posts Held: Former Commander of the AFP Civil Relations Service; recognized expert in civil-military operations, defense planning, and strategic development.
- Reputation: Known as a peace advocate and trusted technical advisor for national security and defense modernization programs.
- Commitment: “I am more than willing to share my expertise and capabilities to help in the development of Tatak Pinoy Gawang Pilipino Technologies and in strengthening the Local Defense Industry of the Philippines.”



🔬 HOW XADO CERAMIC OIL WORKS

Charles Egon De Castro explained the science behind their technology:

“XADO Ceramic Oil uses advanced nanotechnology. It contains ceramic-metal nanoparticles that remain inactive until activated by heat, friction, and pressure inside engines, barrels, or gears. Once triggered, these particles form a durable, glass‑smooth metal‑ceramic coating that bonds to worn surfaces. It fills micro‑scratches and gaps, restoring parts to their original dimensions while creating a protective barrier. The system was formally launched and showcased at the prestigious ARMSCOR Tactical Survival and Arms Expo held at SM Megamall, Megatrade Hall. It received strong commendation from attendees, who agreed it proves Filipino capability.
