The highly anticipated Clark International Festival of Speed(CIFOS) 4 Wheel Expo is set to rev up next week next weekend on October 18-20, 2024, at the exhilarating Clark International Speedway. This three-day extravaganza promises a fusion of vintage elegance, exhilarating racing, and cutting-edge automotive technology.
𝐂𝐈𝐅𝐎𝐒 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝'𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞
The CIFOS will kick off with the 1st CIFOS Tour d'Elegance, a captivating parade of vintage, classic, modern classic, and motorsport-oriented cars. Kilton Motor Corporation President Johnny Tan, the tour will take participants on a scenic journey through the historic sites of Clark Freeport Zone.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬' 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧
Regarded as the godfather of Philippine motorsports, Tan expressed his excitement about the event and the growth of the motorsport industry in the country. He emphasized the potential of Filipino drivers to excel internationally with proper nurturing and support.
"Motorsports in the country have started a gathering of motorsports enthusiasts competing among themselves into now a motorsports industry," Tan stated. "Racing teams are supported by commercial sponsors, race engineers, racing driving coaches, mechanics, technicians, PR guys, videographers and photographers, and influencers etc."
"The future as I see it, is hoping this phenomenon will slowly trickle to the different provinces, cities and towns to truly make the Philippines a motorsports haven."
He further believes that Filipinos are gifted to be good racing drivers, as we have a good hand, foot and brain coordination, racing instincts, and a courageous heart.
"If we properly nurture and develop these talents among our population and the commercial sponsors to support these talents, we can certainly produce great motorsports drivers and riders that will excel in the international arena in the future."
𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐲
Dennis Ayuyao, Chief Operations Officer of Kart Plaza Manufacturing Corporation and The Group of Race Track, highlighted the commitment of Clark International Speedway to promoting and hosting various motorsport championships.
The speedway will continue to be a hub for events such as the Philippine Motorsports Championship, Bracket & Grid Racing Championship Series, Philippine Drag Racing Championship, and more.
𝐂𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
Ayuyao also reveals that, "CIFOS will also feature the 6th leg of the PH Motorsports Championship, showcasing the country's top racing talents. In addition, the event will host car meets organized by Slow Kids and the Angeles Hot Rods Association."
CIFOS will likewise have the car club Legends of the 90s hold a meet at the CIFOS Karway on October 19. This part of the expo is called Legends of the 90s - Clark Invitational.
𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞
Car enthusiasts can expect to see a wide range of vehicles on display, from classic beauties to the latest models from major auto brands. The event will feature exhibits from Ford Clark (Autofield Corporation), Nissan Clark (Clark Innovation Motors), Kia Clark (Freeport Automotive Corporation), BMW Pampanga (Premier Cars), and Jeep Clark (Autoport Corporation).
NMCI International, Inc. (Runstop Philippines), Kart Plaza Manufacturing, Tiara Marketing (Michelin, Kumho Tires), GT Radial Philippines and Aguila Glass/ Sea Breeze Mktg. & Mgmt., Inc. are also slated to showcase the latest in parts and accessories. It is likewise supported by Petron.
