An additional upgrade for the BMES team includes the acquisition of the DJI Zenmuse L2 LiDAR sensor, enabling faster data acquisition and improved positional accuracy for topographic mapping, volumetric surveys, geological assessments, road surveys, and linear feature inspections.

How accurate is our volume quantification?
We deliver accuracy within 3 cm to 5 cm using LiDAR drone technology corrected with RTK for reliable DTMs.

How do we gather data?
We use flight planning built into professional survey drone software. We do not use camera drones for photos or videos, as these create noise and inaccurate data. Our surveys are tied to established GCPs and integrated with our 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 drone datasets to compute removed and replenished volumes accurately.

In this project, we focused on the accuracy of the data to compute replenished and removed volumes on site for the Geological Assessment. With the combined skill of a Geodetic Engineer and a Mining Engineer, we produced reliable data outputs that support sound decisions for resource management.
