📣 PAES OBE Workshop 2026

The Philippine Association of Engineering Schools, Inc. (PAES) invites engineering educators, program coordinators, department chairs, deans, and quality assurance practitioners to participate in the OBE Workshop 2026 entitled “Outcomes-Based Education” featuring Dr. Peter M. Ureta.

This two-part online workshop will provide participants with practical insights and current best practices in implementing, assessing, and continuously improving Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) in engineering programs. The sessions are designed to help institutions strengthen curriculum alignment, assessment systems, and quality assurance processes in support of accreditation and educational excellence.

The event was attended by participants from across the country, composed of engineering educators, academic practitioners, and professionals who share a strong commitment to advancing sustainable engineering education and practice.

PAES extends its heartfelt appreciation to our distinguished resource speaker, Dr. Arlan P. Beltran, for sharing his valuable expertise and insights on green buildings, renewable energy integration, efficient systems, and sustainable construction aligned with international engineering standards.

The PAES 4th Board Meeting and PAES Member Schools Regional Meeting, held on April 25, 2026, in Batangas City, brought together engineering educators, department heads, and deans to discuss pressing issues and emerging opportunities in engineering education across Regions IV and V. The gathering aimed to strengthen collaboration and facilitate the exchange of best practices to further enhance the quality of engineering education. The event was jointly hosted by the Philippine Association of Engineering Schools (PAES) and Batangas State University headed by its University President Dr Tirso Ronquillo.

2) Regional Meeting/Dialogue to be attended by PAES Officers and CHED Technical Panel Members from PAES.

This gathering aims to provide an opportunity for meaningful learning, discussion, and collaboration among our academic partners, particularly on strengthening outcomes-based education and engaging in important regional concerns with PAES.

The Philippine Association of Engineering Schools (PAES), Inc. proudly announced its official recognition and partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), marking a significant milestone in advancing engineering education in the country.

This landmark achievement highlighted the appointment of the six distinguished PAES officers to serve as members of CHED Technical Panels for the period 2025–2028. Their appointments underscore the growing influence of PAES in shaping national policies and academic standards in engineering and engineering technology programs.
