✅ Steps to Adjust Valve Clearance

1️⃣ Engine Must Be Cold

Always adjust valve clearance on a cold engine.

2️⃣ Remove Valve Cover
Open the valve (rocker) cover on the cylinder head.
3️⃣ Set Engine at TDC
Rotate the crankshaft and bring the piston to Top Dead Center (TDC)
for the cylinder you are adjusting.
Typical values (may vary by engine):

Intake valve: 0.15 – 0.20 mm

Exhaust valve: 0.25 – 0.30 mm
Adjust all intake and exhaust valves one by one.

🌀 Did you know that a damaged water pump can cause overheating without showing any major leaks?

The pump is responsible for circulating coolant throughout the engine.

When it fails, the temperature rises quickly… and if not repaired, it can damage the head gasket 💸

🔸 Visible leaks: If coolant stains appear near the belt or under the engine, it may be leaking from the pump seal.

🔸 Noise or whining: A worn bearing generates a high-pitched sound or constant vibration while the engine is running.

🔸 Engine overheating: If the pump isn't circulating the coolant, the temperature will rise even if the reservoir is full.

🔸 Wet belt: If coolant drips onto the belt, it can slip, squeak, or even break.

👉 If you notice one or more of these symptoms, stop driving immediately.
