A CLEAR VISION, A FLOWING FUTURE: Today's Big Leap for Iloilo

The ripples of progress were felt across the Province today at the Water Stakeholder Summit. A major highlight was the Ceremonial Turnover of Funding for the construction and improvement of water systems across 12 of our local communities. Supported by the MoRProGRes Iloilo initiative and partners like Catholic Relief Services (CRS), these projects, funded under the 20% NTA CY 2026, are a giant leap toward ensuring SAFE, CLEAN, and RELIABLE water for every household.

This investment is about more than just pipes and pumps; it’s about building a healthier, more resilient future for our families and neighbors. When we empower our barangays with essential resources, the entire province moves forward together. Cheers to the leaders and stakeholders turning this vision into a reality. Padayon sa Pag-uswag!

PEO Engineers Strengthen Expertise in Materials Testing and Quality Control

Engineers and technical personnel of the Iloilo Provincial Engineer's Office (PEO) participated in the Material Testing Quality Control Training conducted under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) of the Department of Agriculture, as part of the office’s continuing commitment to quality infrastructure development.

The two-day training was led by Engr. Romeo C. Andig who provided comprehensive discussions on materials testing, quality control, and inspection systems essential to road and infrastructure projects. Topics covered included Infrastructure Quality Monitoring and Durability Systems (IQMDS), laboratory and field testing equipment, materials sampling and minimum testing requirements, preparation of Quality Control and Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and standard repair methodologies for various concrete deficiencies.

Participants also gained valuable insights on materials testing technology, proper interpretation of test results, and acceptance or rejection of materials in accordance with DPWH standards. A hands-on workshop further enriched the learning experience by applying quality control principles to actual project scenarios.

Through this initiative, PEO strengthens its technical capability to ensure safe, durable and high-quality infrastructure for the people of Iloilo.
