Q1. What is cost overrun?

Q2. What is the difference between provisional sum and prime cost?

Q3. What is a claim in construction?
A: A formal request by the contractor for additional time or payment due to changes, delays, or unforeseen conditions.

Q4. What is value engineering?
A: A method to reduce project costs by finding alternative materials or methods without affecting quality or performance.

Q5. What is a procurement schedule?
A: It’s a plan showing when each material or subcontract work should be ordered and delivered to match project timelines.

Q6. What is remeasurement?
A: Remeasurement is checking the actual work done on-site and comparing it to the original quantities in the BOQ for payment adjustment.
