Outreach Program
One of Copylandia’s core values is “seva” which means rendering any service without any expectations of reward or recognition. It started its Feeding Program in the last quarter of 2009, during the Christmas season. The employees nationwide were grouped in small teams, with its own assigned leader, to choose a poor community and conduct a feeding program of nutritious, vegetarian food for kids.
The feedback from the employees was so overwhelmingly positive, and the response from the chosen poor communities are also encouraging that it inspired us to do the feeding program annually since then.
From an initial 3,000 kids fed during our first feeding program, it has increased to 12,000 during our repeat feeding the following year. The numbers kept on increasing as the years gone by. And if we total the number of kids we have fed from the start, it has crossed the 100,000 mark long time ago.
But more than the numbers, it is the success stories, the endearing experiences of the employees and the beneficiaries of the program as we do this for the last six and a half years make this an inspiring story indeed. Friends, family and corporate partners supported us all these years as we continue to bring a positive impact to our chosen communities nationwide.
Because we have the widest network of branches all over the Philippines, we have the chance to feed the Aeta communities in Pampanga and Batangas, the local tribes in remote villages in Mindanao. We also do feeding programs to some of the monumental natural tragedies that occurred for the past five years like Sendong in Cagayan de Oro, Typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban, Cebu and Iloilo, flooding in Cabanatuan, and many more.
The company believes that this kind of initiative develops strong camaraderie and volunteerism, deep sense of fulfillment among employees, and instills a sense of gratitude.
