RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Develop and implement project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements.
-Ensure all quality documentation is up to date and properly controlled.
-Coordinate with suppliers and other trades to ensure material and workmanship meet project specifications.
-Conduct site inspections, material inspections, and monitor ex*****on to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
-Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), method statements, and quality checklists.
-Review material submittals, method statements, and work procedures.
-Monitor and verify that all construction activities are carried out according to approved quality standards.

• Estimate and monitor project costs, from the early design to the final construction stages.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor ongoing construction projects and ensure they are completed within the projected budget and schedule
• Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure a project is cost-effective and meets quality standards
• Give cost estimates associated with the project, such as materials, labor and equipment
• Assist in resolving disputes between parties involved in the construction project
• Understand the client requirements and quantities take off
• Prepare BOQ (bill of quantities) as per specification
• Monitor and control costs throughout the project, identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Participate in the pre-tendering activities with client, architect and project managers and raise relevant pre-bid queries from the given tender
• Manage the valuation of work done and handle claims and variations
• Prepare interim and final valuations, variations and claims of the construction site
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize project outcomes and achieve value for money

Qualifications:
• BS Civil Engineering graduate (license an advantage)
• Experience in QS an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with extraordinary negotiation abilities
• Experience working with AutoCAD and other engineering software, and validating quantities from the given drawings
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledgeable in estimating software is an advantage
• Understanding general contracting, design-build, package contracting, value-based project and loading margins and lumpsum in infrastructure, residential, hotel or retail projects
