This is not a tensile test — this is a bend test, and it tells a different but equally critical story.
A bend test checks the ductility of steel — its ability to deform without cracking or failing. When reinforcement bars are bent to a specified angle without fracture, it proves that the material can handle real-life stresses, including seismic movement and load redistribution.
In construction, strength alone is not enough. A material must also be flexible enough to absorb energy without sudden failure.
That’s why proper material testing and independent verification matter.
At DDC Project Management & Consultancy, we don’t rely on assumptions. We ensure that materials are tested, standards are met, and quality is verified before they become part of your structure.
Because safety isn’t accidental — it’s inspected.
