Electronics engineering drives the pulse of modern innovation. As principal author, I advanced the Electronics Engineering Law of 2004 (RA 9292), which professionalized and safeguarded the practice in the Philippines. The law set higher standards for licensing and ethics, ensuring that Professional Electronics Engineers, Electronics Engineers, and Electronics Technicians are recognized as vital contributors to national development in telecommunications, ICT, and industrial systems.
RA 9292 continues to serve as the backbone of regulation for the profession. Its enduring relevance shows how strong foundations in professional standards empower Filipino engineers to lead in technology, protect communities, and drive innovation for the country’s future. It also provides a platform for research and development, strengthens industries, and inspires new generations of engineers to expand our capacity for innovation and resilience in a rapidly changing world.
