Our Story

JAYBUILDERS’ INDUSTRIES INC. (Formerly: CIW Steel Industries Inc.) OUR HUMBLE BEGINNINGS. Jaybuilders’ Industries Inc. (JBI), started as a backyard shop known as Cagayan Iron Work or “CIW” operating literally inside a garage at Ipil Street, Carmen, Cagayan De Oro City in 1983. The shop was engaged in iron works such as Window Grilles, Steel Windows and Steel Gates with just a few numbers of employees, workers and equipment. Due to the quality of work and services that it offered, the company gained a great number of loyal customers that prompted the company to grow and expand the business. The company then transferred to San Isidro Village, Kauswagan, Cagayan De Oro City in May 1985 to an area of six hundred (600) square meters and later expanded by acquiring the adjacent lot a year after. Eventually, CIW moved to its new location in November 1992 in Carmen, Patag Road, Cagayan De Oro City with a total area of two thousand (2,000) square meters, making a spacious and well – ventilated manufacturing plant, administration and sales office. It soon became one of the dealers of Filipinas Shutters Inc - a prestigious company engaged in the fabrication of quality Roll-up Door Shutters & Grilles. For seven (7) consecutive years (1994-2000), Jaybuilders’ Industries, Inc. garnered the top three (3) spot in the yearly Dealership’s Convention. Over a period of three (3) years, JBI accumulated a substantial capital and bought the first Roll Forming Machine. This had strengthened JBI’s position as a Roll-up Door Specialist. In July 2009, the company had changed its name to JAYBUILDERS’ INDUSTRIES INC. to convey a clearer and stronger presence in the industry. JBI continuously made innovative products and aimed further in improving the quality of its product lines. Excellence and innovation had been relentlessly pursued until it added new products such as Stainless Railing, Metal Flush Door, Louvered Window, Stainless Signage, Freight Elevator, and Remote Controlled Gate. PRIOMETAL MINDANAO CORPORATION. In the early months of Year 2012, under the JBI Corporate Umbrella, PMC started as a modest roofing distribution company. With strategically planned fewer resources on both financial and human, the business proved to be very profitable. The company took off substantially. However, the firm’s vision for the future is more inclined towards preserving ecology – building a sustainable world. Thus, the birth of a light-metal framing company from conceptualization of robust and innovative product lines to its vigorous marketing and active distribution. Design-professionals, architects and engineers strive to specify materials that are of considerable strength, durability, versatility and economy posing minimal and unnecessary harm to the environment. They are among the leaders in the drive for buildings that are as friendly towards the environment as possible. The proven performance and quality of our materials have also caused it to dominate commercial ceiling and drywall framing applications for several years now. Today an increasing number of builders have discovered lightweight framing to construct homes and are doing so with great success. Light metal frames are cost effective, easy to use, and rot-free. IPO REGISTRATION. The company’s IPO registration came about – for JBI, ciw PRODUCTS&SYSTEM as a brand to name their manufactured products and services, and functions (system) of their installed building products. Research and Development (R&D) are working extensively to meet all applicable building certifications and ISO standards. Today, Jaybuilders’ Industries, and the group of companies has become one of the largest manufacturer of quality building products in Mindanao and has been expanding to nearby cities, over the Visayan region and throughout the Philippine Archipelago. With the seeds of humble beginning, it has continued to delight clients and has earned a gainful of loyal and satisfied customers surpassing almost three decades of stiff competition and economic crises.
