LOOK: The UP Visayas community proudly announces the arrival of the University's brand new 49-seater bus, which was formally received this morning by Dr. Farisal U. Bagsit, Vice Chancellor for Administration and Prof.Encarnacion Emilia S. Yap, Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension in the Miagao campus.

The 6-cylinder bus features an audiovisual system, skid-proof flooring, automatic extinguisher in its engine compartment, LED destination board, and a 6-camera CCTV system on top of its other standard specs.

The addition of a new University bus will greatly enhance the mobility, safety, and accessibility of the UPV community by providing students, faculty, staff, and partner communities with more reliable transportation for academic, cultural, extension, and outreach activities. It will also support timely participation in fieldwork, research engagements, athletic events, and official University functions, while easing transportation challenges and strengthening the University’s commitment to inclusive and efficient public service.

CONGRATULATIONS, Mariano Marcos State University!

"Mariano Marcos State University received its newly procured coach bus today, May 8. The vehicle was then blessed in front of the FEM Hall.

MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr. and Vice President for Academic Affairs Aris Reynold Cajigal, together with some university employees, joined a test drive following the blessing ceremony.

The 45-seater air-conditioned bus will be used for official university travels. The exterior of the bus features a stallion-inspired design. Inside, customized leather seats embroidered with the SUCCEED logo are installed, each equipped with charging ports beneath them, along with overhead luggage racks. Additionally, a 32-inch flat-screen television is mounted at the front of the bus.

To ensure the safety of its passengers, the bus has four security cameras and two dashboard cameras installed. It also has two fire extinguishers and emergency safety hammers inside.
The procurement of the coach bus reflects Dr. Manzano’s commitment to his promise of modernizing the fleet of vehicles of MMSU and improving the university's transportation services. (𝘑𝘗)
