A NEW ERA FOR PALAWAN'S AGRICULTURE!
The Municipality of Brooke's Point successfully convened the Awarding and Turn-over of Agricultural Machineries today at the Event Center, Brooke’s Point, Palawan. This significant event was organized by the Municipal Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Office (MABEO) of Brooke’s Point in collaboration with the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, and Provincial Agriculture Office.
In a powerful display of commitment to rural progress, PhilMech successfully delivered essential, modern equipment to our Farmers' Cooperatives and Associations across the entire Second District of Palawan: Narra, Quezon, Rizal, Sofronio Española, Brooke’s Point, and Bataraza.
This activity is critically important as it directly addresses the need for agricultural modernization. By providing high-tech machinery, the event enables local farmers to significantly boost productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and lower the physical burden of labor. This, in turn, translates into greater economic stability for farming communities and strengthens food security across Southern Palawan.
Moreover, we were honored by the presence of Palawan Governor Amy R. Alvarez, Brooke’s Point Mayor Cesareo Benedito Jr., Palawan Board Member Aris Arzaga, PhilMech Focal Person Peter Joshua Barsanas, and key officials from the Provincial and Municipal Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering offices.
