"How often should we calibrate our equipment?" 🤔

We get this question a lot. And the honest answer is: it DEPENDS on the machine.

Here's a simple way to think about it:

Start with what the manufacturer says. It's usually in the manual. Then think about how important the machine is, how often you use it, and how many times it has been repaired.

For machines like ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, and defibrillators, it's extra important to get this right. Patients depend on them the most.

If you want to be a biomedical technician in the Philippines, read this. 👇

It's not an easy path.

Limited ang opportunities. Getting certified takes time, effort, at totoong dedication. And hindi lahat ng facility, makikita agad ang value ng skills mo.

But here's what we've learned from our own technicians:

🔹 Get certified → Ito ang magbubukas ng doors for you.
🔹 Learn hands-on → Theory helps, pero mas marami kang matututunan sa actual equipment.
🔹 Stay curious → Every machine and every error may bagong itinuturo.
🔹 Be patient → Growth in this field takes time, kaya wag kang susuko.

Mahirap, oo. Pero pag nakita mong gumagana ulit yung equipment na inayos mo, and alam mong nakakatulong ka sa hospital? Worth it lahat. 💙
