V2 of liquid-cooled Lycoming is complete on Gryphon. Larger radiator, belt-driven water pump, new exhaust. Ground runs are done and I can't wait to get back in the air. So far WOT on the ground engine temp stabilizes at 197 degrees which is exactly the temp of the thermostat. Round two! 383 liquid cooled engine back from inspection. After about 40 hours of thrashing last year at races and testing builders wanted to have a look inside. Good news, all is working well. Initial installation was a bit under pressure so radiator, exhaust, and overall installation worked but not in a manner that would be easy to duplicate. Looking forward to version two!!!
