Cosma Archaeological Project Archaeological survey and excavations within the Cáceres District, Santa Province, Ancash Peru. Cosma is a small town of approximately 200 inhabitants.

This page is dedicated to updating those interested in the progress of the upcoming Cosma Archaeological Project's excavations and survey work of the District of Caceres, Santa Province, Ancash, Peru. The community itself was established in 1714 by the Spanish, however our excavations have dated two of the mounds in the region to the Late Preceramic (3000-1800 BCE). Since 2014, we have be
