Another quality build leaving the workshop!

This 9.5m Beaver Tail Lo Loader truck body has been completed and is now ready for delivery to Pro Services in Auckland.

Designed to handle demanding day-to-day operations, this build features:
✅ 5-tonne winch
✅ Hydraulic loading ramps
✅ Built for efficient and reliable equipment transport

From concept through to completion, our team has focused on delivering a practical, durable solution that will help keep our customer's fleet working productively for years to come.

A big thank you to Pro Services for choosing us for this project. We look forward to seeing this truck body out on the road and getting the job done.

We’re proud to see the fully electric Schmitz Cargobull AG S.KOe Cool refrigerated trailer currently being trialled by Big Chill Distribution, with TR Group.

This innovative trailer represents a major step forward in sustainable freight technology — delivering high performance refrigeration without the need for a traditional diesel-powered fridge unit.

The S.KOe Cool features:
🔋 A 32kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery system
⚡ A 20kW electric generative e-axle with energy recuperation
❄️ Fully electric refrigeration with 15,800W cooling capacity
🔇 Virtually silent operation with significantly reduced maintenance
📡 Advanced TrailerConnect telematics for real-time monitoring and control

The system harvests energy while driving over 60kph and during braking, helping maintain battery charge and extending operational range while reducing downtime. The battery is cleverly integrated into the trailer’s landing gear, with approximately 4.5 hours of self-sufficient runtime and only around 2 hours required for a full recharge.

Compared to a conventional diesel fridge setup, the S.KOe Cool is only around 100kg heavier while delivering approximately 5% greater efficiency — making it one of the most thermally efficient refrigerated trailers operating in New Zealand today.

Additional smart technology includes:
✔️ Real-time temperature monitoring
✔️ Tyre pressure monitoring
✔️ Geofencing capabilities
✔️ Battery state-of-charge monitoring
✔️ Remote refrigeration management and alarm control

The S.KOe platform has already gained international recognition, with Schmitz Cargobull becoming the first manufacturer to receive European type approval for this technology, while also winning the European Transport Sustainability Award 2024.
