It’s all go in Suva, Fiji 🇫🇯

A StoArmat Render System is being applied by FICAL to the exterior of the new Rev John Hunt Centre, a major mixed-use development in the heart of Suva.

Set across 10 storeys of office and retail space, the development is shaping up to be an impressive new addition to Suva’s CBD and a significant commercial and community hub.

👀 Keep an eye on this one as the façade takes shape, with Stolit K 1.5 mm finishing render now being applied, followed by StoColor Dryonic — we’re looking forward to sharing the finished result. 👍

Old Choral Hall 🏛️

Built in 1872. Restored for generations to come.

As part of the extensive restoration, its iconic portico has been faithfully rebuilt more than 90 years after its removal following the 1931 Napier earthquake, with Sto Contractor Allied Exteriors helping to bring its gable, columns, plinths and intricate mouldings back to life. 💛

A StoArmat Render System was applied over reinforced concrete, the new StoArmour (AAC) Panel gable, the columns, plinths and the tops of the Accumen mouldings, all finished in a Stolit MP texture to recreate its historic character while delivering modern façade performance.

We’re very proud to have played a small but mighty part in reviving this piece of Auckland’s history. ✨

Project Spotlight: BNZ Theatre ✨

We're proud to share this recently completed project and case study, highlighting our collaboration with Simon Diplock, Project Manager at Foster Construction, and Sto Contractor MaxBuild.

Built on the site of the historic Hamilton Hotel, the BNZ Theatre brings together a carefully restored 1923 heritage façade with a state-of-the-art performing arts centre.

Sto render and coating systems were used across both heritage and new elements, including a StoColor Refurbishment Coating System with StoColor Dryonic technology, helping restore, preserve, and protect the building for years to come.

We’re proud to have played a part in delivering the solution for this beautiful home. Great to see the finished result. Thank you for the kind words Wunderbar Passive House 💛

Wishing you many happy years enjoying your beautiful home! 🏡

Sto NZ supplied the interior and exterior plaster finish for our home (StoArmat with Lotusan) a system that requires virtually zero maintenance, as dust simply washes away with the rain. 👏

Our project was challenging because the first builder failed to deliver level surfaces of the ICF block system and STO stepped in with special anchors, additional mesh, and a plaster build‑up of up to 50mm on the exterior (normally only 10–15mm). In numbers, that meant three times more material than originally planned. 🤯

A massive thank you (Matthew, Sarah, Peter, Ben) for your extraordinary support, your problem‑solving, and to Jens and his crew from German Master Design for delivering a flawless finish (inspired by the spirit of my hometown region). Since completion, people regularly stop to admire the exterior, and those who’ve seen the interior are amazed that such a plaster finish even exists in New Zealand. It’s truly unique. Thank you! 💛
