Here's another custom transport job that's entered our workshop.

This truck came in needing modifications to meet updated health and safety requirements, so the team got to work with chassis modifications and a custom rear end setup tailored to the customer’s needs. The beauty of doing this at ITSS was everything could be done right here, from design, fabrication, paint, Lightfab chequer work, fitting and assembly and certification.

Final touches going on here from Luca before it heads back out the door.

Meet the Team | Jared

Jared has been with ITSS for 6.5 years, and during that time has worked across a wide range of areas within the business, supporting our engineering, production, quality, and certification teams.

He loves the diversity of the work and the fact he's not focused on just one area - "the role gives me exposure across multiple parts of the business, which keeps things interesting and means there’s always a different challenge or opportunity to work through."

Outside of work, you’ll usually find him spending time with family, getting outdoors, or doing anything involving motorbikes.

Having a certified transport engineer in-house means transport solutions can often be handled internally rather than outsourced, helping streamline communication, reduce delays, and keep projects progressing efficiently. We're so grateful to have him on our team.

Another transporter build coming through the workshop - this one focused on keeping things simple, practical, and reliable on the job.

What sets this apart isn’t complexity, it’s how it’s delivered. This build is designed, fabricated, blasted, painted, and certified all in-house, giving us full control over quality, fit-up, and turnaround.

The result is a purpose-built transporter that’s easy to load, safe to restrain, and ready to go to work without the delays and handoffs that come with split suppliers.

This project didn’t finish when fabrication was complete.

Following fabrication completion of these service pits at the end of 2025, we continued supporting the job through transport, craning, and full installation onsite.

At 25.5 metres long, these weren’t straightforward to move or lift. High groundwater levels also meant steel was the only option, requiring careful planning across design, fabrication, and placement.

From specialised transport through to coordinated lifting onsite, every stage needed the right people and the right approach.

It’s a good example of what we’re capable of - delivering the full project end-to-end.

Meet Kent. We sat down with him to ask a few questions. Here's what he had to say:

● How long have you been with ITSS?

Since 2021. Five very quick years. Long enough to know where everything is… and who to call when I don’t.

● What do you enjoy most about working at ITSS?

Aside from living in Warkworth and having a 3 minute commute, I enjoy the bigger customer jobs and getting everyone pulling in the same direction. That’s where we’re at our best.

There’s a real drive from the top at ITSS and you see it in the results. Lead times, quality, delivery. We’ve got good people across every division who back each other and care about the outcome, not just their piece of it. The focus on the full picture is what sets us apart.

● What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Mostly family time or doing up houses with my wife. She’s the dreamer, I’m the realist, and somewhere in the middle we usually land on something pretty good.

If I’m not doing that, I’m probably being reminded about something I said I’d get to… a few months ago.

I’m also a bogan at heart, so when I get a free minute I’ll take the ’68 Falcon out and annoy the neighbours, or sit down and watch the V8 Supercars.

He’ll likely beat you to it, but feel free to say hi to Kent when you’re in.
