Big news from Real Steel!

We’re proud to announce construction is underway on our new 7,700m² state-of-the-art steel processing facility in the Hautapu Industrial Park — strategically located in the heart of the Golden Triangle, right by State Highway 1, to serve our customers faster and more efficiently.

Designed for optimum flow, sustainability, and innovation, this new facility will house some of the largest and most advanced steel processing machinery in the country, enabling new ways of designing and building in steel.

We’re excited to partner with Foster Group Limited, whose expertise is helping bring this vision to life.

Another great conference!

This year we ran a chilli eating competition from our Real Steel booth – with the prize of taking home our custom built bar tables.

Competitors earned points for how many chillis they ate. 7 points for green. 10 points for red.

Congratulations to Kamil (AKA 'the pride of Poland') for taking out the win with an incredible 357 points!

This has to be one of our proudest reverse-engineering jobs ever.

Graeme Bagrie started his business with this classic CAT dozer all those years ago. Its non-standard grill had deteriorated over time, and he wanted to restore the machine back to its original condition.

We were set the task of building a replica grill - with only a picture from the owner's manual to go off, as well as a basic measure up of the hole it was supposed to fit into.

Our Upper Hutt team managed to design and fabricate a perfect replica of the original grill that slotted into the dozer like it had come straight from the factory.

Better still, Graeme entered the Wheels Over Wanaka show this Easter... and won best bulldozer! 👏👏
