Not everything that rolls through the StewFab workshop is steel 👀🪵

Sometimes it’s a glorious hunk of Japanese Cedar… and we’re definitely not mad about it.

Prepping this beautiful slab of timber ready for an upcoming signage install, and she’s going to be a stunner. 🤌

Metal, timber, waterjet, fabrication… we love a project that’s a little bit different.

📣 WE’RE HIRING | CNC WATERJET & PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

Full Time | Tokoroa | Immediate Start Available

Stewart Fabrications is growing, and we’re looking for a full-time CNC Waterjet & Press Brake Operator to join our team at our Tokoroa workshop.

We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, capable and enjoys working in a busy engineering environment.

The role will include:
• Operating our OMAX CNC Waterjet
• Operating our CNC Press Brake
• CAD drawing and preparing files for cutting
• Nesting and setting up cutting jobs
• Customer liaison and quoting
• Reading drawings and working accurately to specifications
• General workshop and fabrication work as required

We’re looking for someone who:
• Has CAD drawing experience
• Ideally has experience operating CNC machinery – ideally waterjet and/or press brake, but not essential.
• Has good mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Is confident communicating with customers
• Takes pride in producing accurate, quality work
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Has a positive, can-do attitude
• Is reliable and keen to get stuck in

Previous engineering or fabrication experience would be a strong advantage.
