🍻 Cheers to Craig!

Last week we had a drink and a few seafood treats to celebrate our postie Craig, who has been looking after our rural delivery for an incredible 36+ years.

Running a business rurally, we’ve always relied heavily on parts and goods getting to and from us, and Craig has been an important part of the Williams story from the beginning.

But Craig was never just the postie. Back in the day of cheques he even used to do our banking for us! He’d chase up courier items, pick this up, drop that off, track down something urgent and generally do whatever he could to help us out. He was always obliging and would continually go above and beyond to support a rural based business.

Over those years he’s watched two generations of Williamses grow up, seen many Golden Retrievers and Labradors come and go around the workshop, and shared a lot of memories with us. More than anything, he’s become a great friend along the way.

Craig has really become part of the furniture around here, so it seemed fitting to send him into retirement with a bit of furniture of his own a La-Z-Boy to put his feet up in! 😂

Thanks for everything, Craig. We really appreciate everything you’ve done for our family and our business over all those years.

Enjoy putting your feet up, mate you’ve certainly earned it. 🍻

🇦🇺 Williams Effluent Solutions in Australia! 🇳🇿
Katie and Frances have had a fantastic few days in Victoria, travelling from Melbourne down to Timboon to visit the team at Effluent Solutions Australia

For around 20 years, we have worked with Dairy Pumping Systems (DPS), who have distributed Williams products in Australia. With Luke and Mikayla recently taking over the business, it was a great opportunity to meet them, see their operation and talk about how we can best support them moving forward.

It was also great to catch up with Matt, who we have known through DPS and is now part of Luke and Mikayla’s team.

A huge thank you to Luke, Mikayla and Matt for their amazing hospitality and for taking the time to show us around. We really enjoyed our visit- seeing the kangaroos was definitely a highlight for us! 🦘oh and seeing your boys doing the dishes after smoko!

We are looking forward to continuing to work together and hopefully returning the hospitality in New Zealand sometime! 🇳🇿🤝🇦🇺

On Monday, five of our Williams Effluent team members completed their St John Level 1 First Aid course.

It was a valuable day of practical learning, helping our team build the confidence and skills to respond in an emergency- both in the workplace and in the wider community.

Well done team! Andrew thinks his AI skills are quite good too...

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming John and Yvonne from Carac Group to Williams Effluent.

Carac has been an integral part of our journey for more than 30 years. Whenever we have needed manufacturing solutions, John and his team have been there with their expertise in laser cutting, folding, robotic welding, and production support. Many of the outsourced manufacturing processes that help keep our business moving are made possible through Caracs skilled team.

As fellow family-owned businesses, our relationship goes far beyond supplier and customer. What began in the 1990s between John and Neville has continued through the next generation with Andrew, Yvonne, Sonia, and the wider team, including the legendary Bevan in dispatch!

Quite remarkably, despite three decades of working together, this was John and Yvonne’s first visit to our factory. It was fantastic to finally show them where their work and support help make a difference to us every day.

We value the partnership, friendship, and commitment Carac has shown us over the years and without companies like them, we simply wouldn’t be who we are today.

Working with Brad on his effluent system upgrade was a great experience from start to finish. As a long-time customer, Brad has always been proactive, positive, and forward-thinking when it comes to improving his farm systems. His willingness to invest in practical solutions and work collaboratively made this project a real success. We appreciate the trust Brad continues to place in our team and enjoyed helping deliver an upgrade that supports the future of his operation.

The workshop is down a staff member from 9-3 each day now. Sammie is off to school 🥹 he still made it to the toolbox meeting for his weetbix though! 😅
