Just a quick reminder, Hire Centre Te Awamutu will be closed Waitangi day and Saturday the 7th to give our staff a 4 day weekend. We will be back on Monday the 9th at 7.00am

Ka Kite āno! Until we meet again!

Just want to say a massive goodbye to my hire centre family, Stihl shop family & all the beautiful customers I’ve met over the last 6+ years serving this community with awesome gear and big smiles!

Thank you for looking after me & giving me this privilege.

I leave you in Phil’s capable hands, he will love the place just like I did.

A few didn’t get to meet my son, but here he is; the reason I took so long off work for maternity leave. Jack-James. He’ll be on a digger or mower in no time!

Once again, thank you, Hire Centre Te Awamutu for being my second home for so long & giving me the best people to call friends for the rest of my life.

When a 2-stroke can gets returned to us full after being out all day..

We decide to check if it’s actually 2 stroke or had it been refilled with straight 91?

BURN TEST.

I knew drinking energy drinks would sometimes come in handy 😉

And like we suspected, not a drop of oil. Straight 91 put into our 2stroke container. Lucky we checked before sending out again.

Our small team at Hire Centre Te Awamutu is looking for a full-time Mr or Ms. Fix it!!! The role entails repair and maintenance of Outdoor Power equipment as well as trailers, small machinery and more. This very diverse position ensures you’ll never be bored in a day. The ideal candidate will need to have some mechanical knowledge and understanding (not necessarily a trained mechanic however), a forklift licence would be required but if not in possession of one training for this will be provided.
You could expect in a day to be serving customers one minute, answering the phone the next all while in the middle of repairing a piece of equipment, so an easy-going nature is always appreciated. Basic computer skills which we can expand upon with training in the Computer Hire System onsite and pride in your work is important.
Rostered Saturday work is involved, and an immediate start would be fantastic. We would love to see the future candidate excited to learn new skills and improve their knowledge with organisational support.
Hours expected will be 35-40hrs per week

We are open 8am - 4pm Saturday 25th.
Closed Sunday the 26th.
Closed Monday 27th.
Will return 7am Tuesday the 28th.

These bad boys have already seen nearly 100 hours each, with a few scratches to show for their hard Mahi! (Work).

The days feel longer with the sun sticking around, so book in now to get these work horses doing some maintenance around your yard!
