It's already been a busy weekend of demonstrations, showing off the new M7 PowerSaw.
The PowerSaw is attracting attention from all corners of the sawmilling industry. Gary stopped by for a look and brings a wealth of experience, having owned both Mahoe and Peterson sawmills, and even attended some of the very first Turbosawmill trials many years ago.
After seeing the M7 in action, Gary's favourite part of the machine was its pure simplicity.
His intended use is milling timber in remote locations where transporting larger sawmills can be difficult or impractical. For him, the PowerSaw opens up opportunities to access timber resources that would otherwise be left behind.
Lightweight, portable, affordable, and capable of producing quality timber, the M7 PowerSaw fills a gap in the market that many traditional sawmills simply don't address.
It's always rewarding to hear positive feedback from experienced sawmillers who have operated a wide range of equipment over the years.
The M7 PowerSaw may be small, but it's proving that simple can be incredibly effective.

Just as we’ve finished the first batch of Power Saws, our second batch is already at the powder coaters. 💥⚙️
At the same time, the first components for the U.S. order, including our digital sizing kits, have now arrived. 🇺🇸📦
The U.S. order is currently sitting at 42 sawmills, with two containers scheduled to ship out next month. It’s a huge order and a massive milestone for the team. 🔥🌲🪚

Put the Power Saw with the Stihl 661 into some 7" x 7" cants today in some really knotty pine.
I don’t recall the 661 having this much pulling power with our earlier chainsaw swing-blade models. The big difference now is the new chain-drive setup. In the past, every chainsaw mill we made had to be babied through the cut because the belt would slip on the small 50 mm pulley driving the unit.
This new design uses our own sprocket system, directly coupled to the chainsaw through a standard chain drive. No belt slip, no wasted torque — just full use of the chainsaw’s power.
It performed really well. Pretty pleased with the result.

🔥 After putting the machine through some rough softwood the other day, Eric stepped things up and tested the M12 on some tough local hardwood 💪🪵
He compared both the insert-style blade and the thin weld-on blade ⚙️
Both performed well, but the thin blade proved noticeably faster through the cut with less waste and higher efficiency 🚀♻️
That’s where thin kerf really starts to shine when production matters. 👌

Once these are out, we roll straight into our massive 37-mill order for the USA 🇺🇸🌲 Safe to say… the workshop is about to get hit hard and be absolutely full 💪🏭
