Another job recently completed — a sliding roof over a fertilizer bunker.

Designed and fabricated in-house at Turner Engineering, with a hand from Turner Builds on the install, timber and iron work.

We made the tracks simple from pfc with a flat bar stitched to one side and bolt-on brackets to stop the roof lifting or blowing away. Chains and turnbuckles also lock everything down securely when the roof isn’t in use.

Another practical solution built to suit the job.

This week i made a set of ripper teeth for a bulldozer blade, but after a day on hard ground one had sheared off around the bolts.

I headed out on-site, gouged out the broken section and put in a full pen weld, then added some heavy flat bar to strengthen both sides.

So far so good, with a bit more strengthening to come once the job’s finished.

We’re set up for on-site work or workshop jobs, so if you’ve got something broken or needing modifying, give us a call.

Some of the projects I've completed recently include designing and building a fire guard.
Fitting out two shipping containers for commercial use.
One container was converted into a forestry crew smoko hut and workshop, while the other was fitted out as a mobile office.
I also rebuilt a damaged post rammer, incorporating a new side-tilt ram system and removing the original tilt mechanism to improve functionality and reliability.
I've also been busy fabricating lots of gates for a cattle yard.

What ive been up to lately. Made a mobile gantry and a set of firewood grizzly bars. Straightened a digger track frame and strengthened it with stiffener plates, lots of repair work on a hauler and a new box for it. Made a waterblaster lifting frame and installed 14 tie down points on a trailer then lowered the tow hitch by 90mm. Im also making slow progress on a tip trailer for a local lawn mowing company.
