Hibiscus Sheetmetals Ltd are a Silverdale sheet metal fabricating firm that have been operating 20+ years. We have a dedicated group of employees producing quality products in the Architectural, Marine, Industrial and Domestic fields using Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Copper.

We are looking for a Sheetmetal Tradesman to join our team

We are offering:

Full time permanent position
Remuneration based on your skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you will:

Eligible to work in New Zealand
Completed Apprenticeship in Sheetmetal Fabrication or equivalent experience
Be self-motivated, reliable and punctual
Competent with MIG and/or TIG
Ability to operate Press Brake
Fabricate to design drawings and instruction
Able to work with little supervision and complete tasks within budget
Be able to read and understand working drawings
Be very accurate with attention to detail and a high level of finish
NZ Drivers License

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and be located in NZ.

Some of Auckland’s planning rules have changed to enable greater housing density in the Auckland's urban areas.

For many property owners, this means you are now allowed to build up to three homes of up to three storeys on your residential site, such as townhouses and terrace housing, provided you comply with all other development rules and standards before construction begins.

Central government’s new density rules, the Medium Density Residential Standards (MDRS), also include allowing greater building height in relation to boundary and increasing building coverage on sites, enabling (but not requiring) more homes to be built.
