Site Installer / Maintenance Team Leader

Bulk Handling Equipment | Canterbury Based | South Island Travel

Are you the type of person who’d rather fix it properly than “make it work for now”?
Do you know your way around bearings, conveyors, fabrication, and site installs — and can lead a crew .
We’re looking for an experienced Site Installer / Maintenance Team Leader to join our growing team working on bulk handling equipment across Canterbury and the wider South Island.
No two weeks are the same — one day you could be replacing bearings on-site, the next leading an install crew, fabricating components, or troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading small site teams on installs and maintenance projects
Maintenance and repairs on bulk handling equipment
Bearing replacement and mechanical servicing
General engineering and fabrication work
Site shutdown work and troubleshooting
Travelling throughout the South Island as required but mainly Canterbury.
Keeping jobs running smoothly, safely, and on schedule

What We’re Looking For:
Strong mechanical aptitude and practical experience
Experience with conveyors or bulk handling equipment preferred
Confident leading a team on-site
Fabrication skills – working alongside a dedicated welder
Ability to think on your feet and solve problems
Good attitude and solid work ethic
Someone who can have a laugh while getting the job done
