Correct fitment is important for making sure your anchor can be safely deployed and retrieved through the fairlead and anchor well without contacting or damaging the hull.

Choosing the right anchor starts with your boatโ€™s size, weight and the conditions youโ€™re likely to encounter.

A larger anchor can provide additional holding power, which can make all the difference when the wind gets up, the tide changes or conditions are less than ideal.

But bigger isnโ€™t automatically better - the goal is to find the right balance of anchor size, holding power and suitability for your boat.
