Not hydraulics related, but this was too good not to share.
A few nights ago one of our neighbours had a nasty fall outside his house. Jenny heard him yelling for help and went charging out to see what was going on.
Problem was, she’d just got out the shower.
So Scotland’s emergency response team arrived in a T-shirt and her knickers. 😂
She stayed with him, kept him comfortable, held his hand and waited with him until the ambulance arrived. I eventually went back home for some leggings and a jumper before the rest of the neighbourhood got more of an emergency response than they’d bargained for. 😂
While they were waiting, our neighbour asked Jenny where she was from.
“Scotland.”
He’s ex-military and regularly flies a flag outside his house.
Today Jenny looked down the road and yelled, “Gordon! LOOK AT THAT!”
The old bu**er had raised the Scottish Saltire. 🏴
Absolutely made her day.
Fair play to him. Bloody nice gesture.
And I reckon there’s something in that. We’re all busy getting on with our own lives, but when someone around you needs a hand, you give them one. Look after your neighbours, look after your mates and look after the people in your community. It doesn’t have to be complicated.
Although preferably put your trousers on first.
Jenny’s now strutting about like William Wallace, so there’ll be no living with her for the next week.
They may take her trousers… but they’ll NEVER TAKE HER FREEEEDOM! 😂🏴
