🔥🔥 SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT IN THE WORKS! 🔥🔥

I’ve been having a bit of fun playing around with and modifying this charcoal brazier, and I can’t wait to fire it up for a massive cook-up! 🔥🥩

Taking inspiration from the traditional Argentinian hanging-style BBQ, where meat is suspended over hot coals and slowly cooked to perfection.

There’s something pretty special about cooking over real fire, taking your time, enjoying the process and letting the heat and smoke work their magic!

Looking forward to putting this modified beast to the test with a serious feast! 🔥🍖

🔥🍔 FERNSIDE FIRES – SMASH HASH BIG MAC BURGERS! 🍔🔥

Food Over the Fire – Fernside Fires Style!

Who needs a burger bun when you can use crispy golden hash browns? These little beauties are packed with flavour, easy to make and perfect for entertaining friends and family!

🔥 The best part? You can cook these on either your gas BBQ or over a wood fire!

🛒 INGREDIENTS

🥔 Hash browns
🥩 Beef mince
🧀 Cheese slices
🥒 Pickles
🥬 Fresh lettuce
🍅 Cherry tomatoes
🍔 Burger sauce (my favourite for that Big Mac flavour!)
🧂 Salt and pepper
🥢 Small skewers or toothpicks

🔥 LET’S GET COOKING!

STEP 1 – CRISPY HASH BROWNS

Place your hash browns in the air fryer and cook until beautifully golden and crispy.

Once cooked, cut each hash brown in half. These will become your burger buns!

STEP 2 – FIRE UP THE BBQ

Whether you’re using a gas BBQ or cooking over a wood fire, get your hotplate nice and hot.

Make small beef mince balls, place them on the hotplate and smash them down into little burger patties.

Season with salt and pepper and grill until beautifully browned and cooked through.

STEP 3 – ADD THE CHEESE

While your patties are still grilling, place a small piece of cheese on top of each one.

Let that cheese melt over the meat. Absolutely delicious!

STEP 4 – BUILD YOUR SMASH HASH BURGER

🥔 Start with half a crispy hash brown.
🥬 Add a little shredded lettuce.
🥩 Place your cheesy smash burger patty on top.
🥒 Add a small piece of pickle.
🍔 Drizzle with your favourite burger sauce.
🥔 Finish with the other half of your crispy hash brown.

STEP 5 – THE FINISHING TOUCH

Place a cherry tomato on top and push a small skewer or toothpick through the middle to hold everything together.

And there you have it!

Nothing beats food cooked over a real wood fire! Today at the Fernside Fires stand at the Outdoor Expo, we had a beautiful rolled roast beef cooking away over the flames. 🥩🔥

Loaded up with:
🧄 Garlic
🧅 Onion
🥕 Carrot
🔥 BBQ sauce
🍯 Honey
🧈 Butter
🥩 Beef stock
🍷 A good splash of red w**e

Slow cooked over the fire until tender, juicy and packed with flavour.
